Diet Pills That Work

All diet pills claim to enhance weight loss – if they didn’t then their advertising department should be fired immediately. But as we all know, advertising, especially when it comes to the weight loss and diet pill markets leaves something to be desired. After personally writing countless diet pill reviews it is clear that there are very few diet pills that work compared to the vast number of diet pills that do not.

Of course, not everyone can afford the time to investigate hundreds of diet pills to find the best ones, so I decided to put together my own list of Diet Pills That Work. These diet pills were chosen on the basis of the following criteria:

  • They contain ingredients that are clinically proven to promote weight loss.
  • They have received positive reviews from people who have tried them.
  • They do not require to be taken with any other supplement or weight loss product to be effective.

Diet Pills That Work

  1. Phentermine – It should come as no surprise that Phentermine made it to the Diet Pills that Work list. Phentermine is one of the most prescribed diet pills for overweight and obese people struggling to lose weight. Originally released in 1959 as an effective appetite suppressant, there are numerous published clinical trials that show Phentermine increases weight loss when taken with a calorie-restricted diet, exercise program and behavior therapy.
  2. Phentramin-D – Phentramin-D fully deserves the number two position in the Diet Pills that Work list. Phentramin-D, which contains ingredients clinically proven to enhance weight loss, was developed as a replacement for prescription phentermine. Phentramin-D provides all of the benefits of Phentermine, including appetite suppression and increased energy, but without the high risk of adverse health effects. When taken in along with diet and exercise, Phentramin-D improves both long-term and short-term weight loss results.
  3. Xenical – Xenical is a prescription drug that aids weight loss by blocking the absorption of fats consumed during a meal. A number of clinical trials concluded that Xenical, when combined with a calorie-restricted diet and exercise, promoted significant weight loss.
  4. Acomplia – Acomplia, also known by its generic name Rimonabant, is a prescription diet pill that was released for sale in the European Union, Denmark, Finland, Germany and U.K. in the summer of 2006. Acomplia is a very effective appetite suppressant and its weight loss benefits have been documented by a number of clinical trials. Currently, Acomplia is not permitted for sale in the U.S. and has been withdrawn from the European market because it was found to approximately double the risk of users developing psychiatric disorders.
  5. Ephedra – Ephedra is not a diet pill, but is a common diet pill ingredient that has been clinically proven in many studies to enhance weight loss. Although Ephedra is commonly combined with other drugs, such as aspirin and caffeine, it is also a powerful thermogenic diet pill ingredient on its own, raising blood pressure, heart rate and decreasing appetite. Despite its ability to promote weight loss, Ephedra is currently banned for sale in the United States because of the potential for it to cause severe adverse health effects.

As you can see from this top list of Diet Pills That Work, although a weight loss product may be effective it may also not be safe. The only exception to this rule that I have found so far is Phentramin-D, which is one of the best diet pills I have reviewed and has, so far, no record of causing adverse health effects.

All of the “Diet Pills that Work” listed above require that you follow a calorie-restricted diet, exercise regularly and change your eating behaviour. Without these lifestyle changes, none of these weight loss pills will work effectively.
