Clinicallix Diet Pill Review

Clinicallix advertising states that you will lose 30 pounds in 30 days using their product or they will give you your money back. That is a weight loss of seven pounds a week, which most dieticians and doctors would agree is an unhealthy rate of weight loss. As well, for those people who are not largely overweight but simply want to shed a few stubborn pounds, they may find that Clinicallix is not able to generate the amount of weight loss their advertising promises.

Clinicallix Diet Pills contain many ingredients that have been proven scientifically to aid weight loss.

Clinicallix Diet Pills contain many ingredients that have been proven scientifically to aid weight loss.

One of the good things about Clinicallix is that it has some scientific facts backing its ingredients. Most of the ingredients in Clinicallix diet pills are supported by at least one clinical trial, which the Clinicallix website has published for its viewers. The only issue I noted with their published clinical trials was the one they cite for support of their Compound #3: Garcinia Cambogia, Gymnema Sylvestre, and Chromium. In the clinical study that they cite, it is only Garcinia cambogia that is used and not all three.

To determine if Clinicallix can deliver a weight loss of 30 pounds in 30 days, we will need to take a closer look at its ingredients. Clinicallix is a weight loss pill that combines several herbal ingredients: glucomannan, garcinia cambogia, Yerba Maté, damiana, gymnema sylvestre, chromium polynicotinate and guarana.

Glucomannan – Glucomannan is a fiber that is used in many over-the-counter diet pills and also on its own as a dietary supplement. Clinical trials conducted with glucomannan support that it is an effective diuretic that can help to reduce blood levels of cholesterol, glucose and triglycerides. Another benefit of glucomannan as a weight loss ingredient is its ability to expand with water in the stomach, which promotes a feeling of satiety (fullness).

Garcinia cambogia – Garcinia cambogia is a source of hydroxycitric acid (HCA) that is a known appetite suppressant. The ability of garicinia cambogia to promote weight loss in obese individuals has been well-documented in a number of published clinical trials.

Yerba Maté – Yerba mate, which comes from the leaves of a shrub that grows in South America, is a source of caffeine, as well as some minerals. Caffeine’s ability to increase thermogenesis (fat burning) and its diuretic properties are well documented.

Damiana – Damiana is an herb that is used in traditional medicines to treat a number of health conditions including constipation, suggesting that damiana is another one of Clinicallix’s ingredients that has diuretic properties.

Gymnema sylvestre – Gymnema sylvestre is an herb native to India and has been used in traditional naturopathy as a treatment for diabetes. There are not many published trials that support gymnema sylvestre’s ability to aid weight loss; however this is one clinical trial that showed it has some promise. (I think this is the clinical trial that Clinicalix’s advertising meant to cite: “Effects of a natural extract of (-)-hydroxycitric acid (HCA-SX) and a combination of HCA-SX plus niacin-bound chromium and Gymnema sylvestre extract on weight loss.” Diabetes, Obesity & Metabolism. 2004 May;6(3):171-80.)

Chromium polynicotinate – Chromium polynicotinate, also known as Chromium picolinate, helps to regulate blood-glucose levels, thereby helping to control food cravings as well as reduce hunger. Despite the fact that many non-prescription diet pills now use chromium picolinate as an ingredient, there is still no clinical evidence that supports its ability to enhance weight loss.

Guarana – Guarana is a natural source of caffeine and as mentioned before has both thermogenic and diuretic effects.

No serious reports have been reported concerning the use of this product and it is considered to be safe to use for most people. Clinicallix, however, is not recommended for individuals who are sensitive to stimulants such as caffeine. Possible side effects of taking Clinicallix diet pills include dizziness, irritability and increased heart rate. This may be as a result of the stimulants in these pills.

Clinicallix diet pills are by no means a substitute for physical exercise and dieting. Consumers are recommended to maintain a structured exercise regime while taking the pills. A healthy diet is also a necessity and should not be compromised.

One of the pros for Clinicallix is that it contains many of these ingredients in amounts considered high enough to promote weight loss. Although most people will not lose 30 pounds in 30 days using this diet pill, if it is taken along with diet and exercise weight loss will likely be increased. The cons for Clinicallix are that you have to take five pills a day, which can be a bit much. Also, Clinicallix contains a number of ingredients with diuretic properties that will cause water loss from your body. Although water loss will result in a loss of pounds, people who are taking this supplement may experience rapid weight gain after they stop taking it, which is often observed following the use of diuretics.
