Meizitang Botanical Slimming Pills

With the popularity of traditional Chinese remedies growing in the Western world, China has hopped on board the weight loss supplement train and has been manufacturing dozens if not hundreds of different formulas in varying degrees of efficacy and safety. While some can safely produce very desirable results, others contain ingredients banned in many countries or that can have very unpleasant or hazardous side effects. Meizitang Botanical Slimming pills are one of those Chinese weight loss supplements that has made its way onto many English-speaking websites that sell pills to dieters, and many people are wondering whether or not this is a drug that will do everything it claims or whether it is best left in the warehouses where it is currently being stored.

Customers are warned against taking Meizitang Botanical Slimming pills by the FDA.

The Miezitang formula is a blend of various different herbal ingredients. Though it does not have an official website (at least not an English-language one), the websites that offer it for sale say that it contains ingredients such as Job’s Tears and Lotus Leaf – two ingredients with no obvious connection with assisting in weight loss – XianXian Cao – an ingredient that does not have any readily available information from reliable sources online – and its main ingredient, Psyllium husk. Psyllium husk is well known for its inclusion in other over-the-counter medications that are meant to create a laxative effect. Though this last ingredient is not necessarily dangerous, since it is only there to promote regularity, any weight loss that is experienced through its use would be temporary and superficial. More likely it would be a reduction in constipation and fluids in the tissue than actual fat loss.

Some websites selling the product have mentioned kola nut as an ingredient in the product. This is used as a caffeine source. Caffeine is a stimulant which provides energy and, when used in the right quantities, can help to boost the metabolism. However, when used in high doses, it can also cause shaking, restlessness, sleep problems, headaches, nausea, high blood pressure, and other discomforts.

It is best to consult a doctor before taking any products that contain stimulants as well as any supplement that claims that it will help you to lose weight. Meizitang Botanical Slimming pills are no exception to this rule, especially considering that – based on the partial ingredient list revealed by the companies selling the product – the pill is more likely to leave you seated in the bathroom than to actually help with weight loss.

It is also important to note that Meizitang weight loss products have been found to contain illegal ingredients and were listed on the FDA tainted diet pills list. These ingredients can be very harmful to ones health. For this reason, Meizitang Botanical Slimming pills should be avoided until the FDA reports them as being safe.
