DigesTrim review

[starratingmulti id=1 tpl=12]

DigesTrim is an American made weight loss supplement that has been designed to work by increasing the user’s energy levels, but also by decreasing what its ads call “digestive distress”. According to this rather unique claim, digestive distress gets in the way of weight loss. One would think, however, that if someone was experiencing this type of struggle, the first instinct would not be to try to take a diet pill to help it, but would instead be to visit a doctor to find out what is causing the problem in the first place, so that it can be properly treated.

DigesTrim is a product that is manufactured by a company called Rightway Nutrition. That company produces a number of different supplements within the weight loss category as well as in other areas including sports, feminine health, herbal supplements, probiotics and others. The company is associated with many different affiliations and designations, including production in a GMP facility, business practice awards from the popular retailer, GNC, participation in the sustainable forestry initiative, certification from the national products association, and a few others.

This product is non-GMO, sourced sustainably, and is not tested on animals. However, the one thing that appears to be lacking is clinical research that would prove that its formula actually works. It does have an indicator on the sales page for the product on the official website that says that it is “clinically proven”. However, at the time that this review was written, there were no studies cited to say that it was clinically proven to actually have a direct influence on weight loss. In fact, there were no studies cited, at all. The statement was made vaguely, not indicating what it was clinically proven to do, who performed the research, or how.

This leaves it up to the consumer to do his or her own research into the ingredients making up this formula. In the case of this product, the ingredients that were listed on the official website at the time that this review was written included: licorice root extract, peppermint, ginger root extract, cinnamon bark extract, amylase, glucoamylase, protease 4.5, protease 3.0, lactase, galactosidease, protease, beta glucanase, lipase, cellulase, heicellulase, phytase, invertase, and diastase.

By looking at those ingredients, it does look as though they are primarily focused on digestion and on easing stomach discomforts. There isn’t anything in this formula that has been directly linked to weight loss by way of reputable scientific study.
