Lipotrin is an over the counter diet pill that is a reformulation of a previous product that was called Thermadrol. Both of these products are the creation of the company behind the BigNutrition brand. Thermadrol is considered to be the stronger between the two pills.

According to the manufacturer, Lipotrin was created in response to a demand for a version of the supplement that had similar effects, but that was gentler, overall. The benefits in question are, according to the official webpage for the product, fat binding, and fat burning. The fat burning is meant to be the result of the pill’s promotion of thermogenesis. The purpose of both of these diet pills is to make sure that dieters will be able to shed excess fat more quickly than would be possible through exercise and diet changes, alone.

The idea behind the formulation of Lipotrin was to make sure that those benefits could still be enjoyed by dieters, but through a reduced level of stimulant ingredients. This is because there are many people with sensitivities to stimulants or who can’t take them for medical reasons, and who would like to be able to take diet pills without suffering from unwanted side effects.

The ingredients in Lipotrin are quite similar to those that make up Thermadrol, except that this herbal formula is not quite as high in stimulants. The ingredients that make up this formula include: Green Tea, Apple Cider Vinegar, Chitosan, Phaseolus Vulgaris, Milk Thistle, Siberian Ginseng, Guarana, Psyllium Husk, Caffeine Anhydrous, Choline, Uva Ursi, Ginger Root, Chromium Picolinate, and Cayenne Powder.

That formula has changed, over time, maintaining the same list of substances, but changing their balance.

Besides being less powerful than Thermadrol, Lipotrin is also less expensive. At the time that this review was written, the official manufacturer’s website for these products was selling a bottle of 60 capsules of Lipotrin for $24.97 (on sale from 29.97), and Thermadrol was being sold for $33.97 (on sale from $59.97).

It is important to point out that while there is a reduced level of stimulants in this pill, they are still included among the ingredients, and some of them – including guarana and caffeine anhydrous – are quite powerful. This means that there still may be some dieters who will find that they will experience unwanted side effects from this product. Moreover, this pill also contains a diuretic that could mislead a dieter into thinking that he or she is losing fat, when it is actually only temporary water loss that is being experienced.
