Adipex, also known as Adipex-P, is a brand name version of the weight loss drug called phentermine hydrochloride.  This weight loss medication is by far the most commonly prescribed type of diet drug in the United States.  Due to the stimulant it contains, Adipex diet pills function similarly to amphetamines by impacting the central nervous system part of the brain to effectively suppress the appetite.  For the best results during the use of Adipex, it should be combined with a proper diet and exercise plan that should be arranged with your doctor.

This drug is meant specifically for the treatment of obesity, to bring down an individual’s weight in order to lower the risk of certain health conditions such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and diabetes.  It is formulated to assist obese people in dropping as many pounds as safely possible over a short-term period of up to three weeks. During this time, users will have the opportunity to develop the right lifestyle habits to continue losing weight without the use of the drug, and to maintain their weight loss once the pounds are gone.

Are Adipex Diet Pills Right for Everyone?

Phenteramin and Phentramin-d are proven to be the best Adipex diet pills alternatives.

Of course, like any other prescription drug, Adipex diet pills are not right for everyone. Typically, only people who are heavily overweight and at high risk of weight-related health problems are prescribed this medication by their doctors. The reason is that Adipex can potentially cause harmful side effects in some users, so the benefits of taking this medication must be weighed against the potential risks.

Even though this medication is one of the most prescribed, it can be very difficult to obtain by most people who are not considered obese. Fortunately, one of the best health supplement companies in the United States, Lazarus Labs, developed two products that have similar effectiveness to Adipex and other phentermine diet pills, but can be PURCHASED WITHOUT A PRESCRIPTION, cause NO SIDE EFFECTS in most users, can be taken LONG-TERM, and can be SAFELY BOUGHT ONLINE.

Phenteramin and Phentramin-d have been rated the top alternatives for Adipex diet pills by former users. Although each of these diet pills contain different formulas, they both act in a similar way – to suppress appetite, increase energy levels and burn excess body fat. The result is fast and consistent weight loss that can be maintained long-term in conjunction with following a healthy diet and getting regular exercise.

How should Adipex be taken?

As a prescription drug, Adipex is available to you only with the permission of a licensed medical professional.  At the time that this medication is prescribed, he or she should discuss the way that you should take it in order to provide you with the safest and most effective results.  When you receive your medication, make sure that you follow those instructions exactly as they were described to you.  They should be printed on the prescription label as a reminder, but should you not understand any part of them, or if you should forget any aspect, be sure to speak with your doctor again, or contact your pharmacist for clarification.  Never take this medication without fully understanding these directions.

Typically speaking, Adipex is taken on an empty stomach, before eating your breakfast or within a two hour period after having eaten breakfast.  It should be taken with a full glass of water.  Avoid taking Adipex after 6:00pm in order to prevent sleep-related side effects such as insomnia.  It is preferable to take this diet pill earlier in the day, such as in the morning.

Adipex is designed to be taken only over the short term, which typically consists of a handful of weeks.  Do not take any more of this medication than prescribed, do not take it any more frequently, and do not take it for any longer than your doctor has recommended.  These behaviors will not increase the efficacy of the drug, but it will heighten the risk of potentially dangerous or life-threatening side effects, as well as make it more likely that you will form a dependency which could lead to unpleasant withdrawal symptoms.

The use of Adipex should never be suddenly halted without the advice of a doctor, as this could lead to withdrawal symptoms, as well.  Instead, a doctor will help you to gradually reduce your dose to avoid these unpleasant symptoms.

What else should you know about Adipex?

Adipex should not be taken at the same time as other weight loss drugs as it can lead to pulmonary hypertension, which is a rare, but fatal lung disorder.  Never take another prescription, non-prescription, nutritional supplement, or herbal remedy alongside the use of Adipex without first discussing it with your doctor.  This will help you to prevent interaction and conflicts that could make the drugs behave improperly.

Since everybody experiences drugs differently, get to know your reactions to Adipex before driving or taking part in any activity that needs your alertness.  This is because some people experience impaired reactions or thinking when taking this diet drug.

Adipex will not lead you to lose weight all on its own.  It requires you to change your eating and exercise habits as per your doctor’s instructions for the best results.  The purpose of this drug is to make those efforts easier with a suppressed appetite and boosted energy.  This makes it one part of a full weight loss program.

Who should not take Adipex?

Adipex is a highly successful part of a diet plan for many people, but it is not suitable for everyone.  It is meant only for individuals who are obese and are at risk of certain health conditions.  Furthermore, it should not be taken by certain specific individuals.  They include the following:

  • People who have an allergy to phentermine
  • Individuals who have taken an MAO inhibitor within the last two weeks (14 days)
  • Those who are currently taking another diet pill and plan to continue with that medication
  • People with heart disease
  • Individuals with hardening of the arteries or other coronary artery disease
  • Those with an overactive thyroid
  • People whose blood pressure is uncontrollably high
  • Individuals with glaucoma
  • Those with a history of alcohol or drug abuse

You may be able to take Adipex at an alternative dose if you have the following, so be sure to advise your doctor if you have:

  • Diabetes
  • High blood pressure
  • A thyroid condition

Where can I buy adipex. This site used to sell it but now it doesn’t anymore. Can anyone tell me how I can buy Adipex online?

Try Phentramin D. You can buy it online, no rx and I would say it works just as good as Phentermine/Adipex.

I don’t think you can buy prescription diet pills online anymore. I was looking to buy Adipex or Phentermine and was finally told by one of the online pharmacies that it is illegal for them to sell it without a prescription. If you have medical reasons for taking adipex then go to your doctor and get a prescription. That’s the only way.

Adipex has to be given with a prescription and a lot of doctors refuse to give a prescription for a diet pill. What I found to work the same as adipex if not better was Phentramin D, I had all the success of the weight loss with out the jittery feeling. I lost 58 lbs in six months.

Adipex is one of my favorite diet pills, it gives great hunger control and increased energy. I did find however that it gave me the jitters sometime. It’s pretty expensive too and hard to buy online. But I always did lose a lot of weight on it ~ Christy.

It has been 14 days since i started my diet. As i stated in my other blog that i feel no different, this is still true. I have a different out look to food but as far as my body having jitters or anxiety, no of this has happen to me. My body did not feel any different. The only side efffect is dry mouth. I have lost about 10 lbs so far. the first week i lost 6lbs. This pill is worth the try if you have difficulty with your weight. I just wish it would make me want to exercise.

For many years I was seriously overweight and very unhealthy. My doctor prescribed Adipex to help me lose weight. My wife was against taking pills but I had tried to diet and couldn’t lose weight. With my doctor’s help, and by taking Adipex, I managed to lose over 50 pounds in three months.

I took Adipex-p and it made my heart race so badly it felt like an anxiety attack. I was so light-headed that I had to leave work and went to my doctor’s right away. These side-effects from taking adipex-p aren’t worth it and I stopped taking it.

I tried adipex and at first it worked, I was less hungry and eating less but then after about a month I started getting heart palpitations. Some people told me to keep going and that it was a normal side effect but it was more then I was comfortable with so I started taking phentramin D instead. I found it does the same thing but with no side effects. If you are on the fence about what to order, that is the one I would go with.

Hi Megan – Staying motivated is really tough. Making healthy changes to your diet and getting more exercise can be a struggle, especially at the beginning. However, you MUST do these things in order to lose weight. Diet pills, even prescription ones like Adipex, can only get you so far. They will perhaps help to lower your appetite so you can begin getting your body used to eating fewer calories every day, but the end goal of using any weight loss product is that you will be able to continue losing weight after you stop taking it. I would strongly recommend becoming involved in an online weight loss community that can offer you support and begin keeping track of your calories and exercise. This way I hope you will have the supportive tools you need to stay motivated for longer.

You can do this! Eat less, eat healthy and exercise (even if its just a walk around the block every day until you are able to do more). Push yourself to succeed. Celebrate every pound that you lose and every success you have. Keep at it and you will fit in those pretty clothes in no time. But more importantly, you will look like and be a much healthier person.
